Strengthen your core & pelvic floor without a 1,000 Kegels! In this one hour class we’ll incorporate pelvic floor exercises with a pilates and strength based workout. You’ll learn how to safely rehab your core and pelvic floor to reduce low back pain, incontinence and tighten the gap of your diastasis recti separation.

Here is your chance to be introduced to the practice on the central piece of equipment: The Pilates Reformer. With its sophisticated system of springs, straps and pulleys, more than 100 exercises can be performed on this surprisingly versatile apparatus. You can perform exercises on your back, stomach, side-lying, seated forward, seated backward, on your knees or on your feet. There is an extensive repertoire of exercises that can be done on the reformer and it is a great piece of equipment to have for group exercise settings.

In this class, we work with an approach to practice focused on wholly integrating body and breath. We attune our attention to our breath. We move simply and clearly, emphasizing the postures’ relationship with the spine. We integrate practices which further our awareness, through use of breath, sound, and meditation. Through this approach we understand that advancing our practice is about going deeper, about seeing more and feeling more, and how the tools of yoga can bring us more deeply in relationship with these essential parts of ourselves.
