BEGINNER HULA HOOPING WORKSHOP

Saturday, April 20th, 12:30-2:30pm
$30 pre-register, $35 at the door
Hoops will be available for use by Heather Davies (and we have some for sale at the studio)

Learn to Hoop Dance! In this workshop we will explore waist hooping and beyond, using circus style tricks and transitions to facilitate flow. Hooping helps to open the chakras, release endorphins, and empower the mind and body. Heather offers detailed instruction that helps to make hooping accessible to ALL bodies regardless of age or experience. She is excited to share her passion for movement and hooping with you, and hopes this workshop will inspire you to move in new ways.

~This workshop is for ALL levels of hoopers, especially BEGINNERS!
~No prior experience necessary, come as you are!

YOGA NIDRA + ESSENTIAL WELLNESS

First Fridays of Every Month, 7:30 – 8:30pm
May 3rd focus: Sacral Chakra, Oil + Tea: Sandalwood + Rose

Yoga Nidra, commonly referred to as Yoga sleep brings you into an deep brain-wave sleep, one that can’t be reached by conventional sleep. Eliciting the relaxation response is a skill that we can learn and then practice. The practice of intentional relaxation rewires the nervous system and changes our habitual reactions to life.

Join us through a year of First Friday offerings – moving through 7 Chakras and 5 Elements to gain connection to ourselves and the seasonal changes around us.

PRENATAL YOGA

Thursdays, 11:30am -12:45pm
5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/13 (no class 6/6)
Pre-registration required, 6 week series
Cost: $180

Come together in community to practice safe and appropriate asana, pranayama, and relaxation for all stages of pregnancy.  Learn techniques for an empowering birth experience and beyond. At the end of class, we’ll gather for conversation, a nourishing snack and herbal tea.

In this 6 week series we will explore asana that is safe and appropriate for pregnancy, being mindful of the unique circumstances of each woman. Breathwork with a focus on ujjayi pranayama will be emphasized. Childbirth education, positions for labor, relaxation techniques and more will be woven through the class. Themes explored include: 1. Physiological Changes and Hormones 2. Control and Surrender 3. Circles of Support 4. Maiden to Mother 5. Intuition 6. The 5 Universal Postpartum Needs.  Every gathering ends with time for community and conversation, as well as herbal tea and a small snack.
