SUN SALUTATION CLINIC

Am I doing this right? Feel like you jumped into class mid-stream (or mid salutation) and have been playing catch-up ever since? Bring it back to the fundamentals and demystify this integral part of modern vinyasa yoga.

You will come away with a functional understanding of each pose and how we link these poses together to flow through a sun salutation. We will focus on breath and alignment, and pay specific attention to chatauranga dandasana – it’s actually a posture (not a transition), and with modifications it’s possible for everyone to incorporate a variation into their vinyasa practice! We will also address common misalignments that can lead to discomfort or injury.

Half Sun Salutation (aka “sun breath”)
Lunging Salutations

A NEW YEAR’S YOGA PRACTICE

Start the first day of the New Year bathed in the warm natural light of Ascend Studio on your yoga mat as you are guided through a full 90-minute practice of grounding pranayama and mobilizing asana, culminating in a deep meditation practice that will promote Clarity as you step into 2020.

Then stay to mingle with your community and have a Mimosa or some fresh brewed “clar-i-tea” made with Holy Basil and Mint and treat yourself to a celebratory slice of cake. Doesn’t that sound sweet?

4 weeks beginning Wednesday, January 8th from 6:15-7:15 pm*
Cost: $99
Pre-registration required.

Strengthen your core & pelvic floor without a 1,000 Kegels! In this one hour class we’ll incorporate pelvic floor exercises with a pilates and strength based workout. You’ll learn how to safely rehab your core and pelvic floor to reduce low back pain, incontinence and tighten the gap of your diastasis recti separation.

*Minimum enrollment must be met.  Cancellations will be communicated by email 48 hours prior.
