Ascend offers many styles of yoga and daily classes for all levels and practices. From restorative, slow flow classes to vigorous Vinyasa and power house yoga (with music), we offer a diverse spectrum of yoga practices. Our classes are held in a large, serene space on the top floor of a building (circa 1864) that formerly served as a Masonic Lodge. Flooded with light, the room boasts original floorboards and a majestic 18-foot ceiling painted a sky-like cerulean blue– an inspiring space in which to elevate one’s practice.

CHILDREN’S YOGA FUN AND CREATIVE PLAY

Children will balance, believe and create through yoga, mindfulness, art and theatre. Healthy snack is also provided. Children will be picked up from the Haldane Blacktop and walked down to the studio by the instructors & assistants. If you will plan on bringing your child to the studio, please arrive at 3:25 to give enough time for the rest of the class to walk down! $140 for 6 weeks
Format of the Class:
3-3:25ish: Walking Meditation from Haldane Blacktop to Ascend Studios. Each child has the opportunity to lead the line in a special walk, hop, skip, jump or run.

This Iyengar style class offers a systematic progression of study with clear demonstration of the postures to develop student’s understanding of correct body alignment in each pose. All students are welcomed regardless of their experience, ability or physical limitations due to injuries. Props such as blankets, blocks, belts and chairs are used as an aid to deepen learning and adjust postures to individual needs. Consistent practice develops strength, stamina, balance and body awareness. Focusing on proper form and alignment, this class is designed to give a thorough understanding of the postures, which directs awareness to the body and in turn quiets the mind. Iyengar yoga teaches students how to perform the poses (asana) with optimal alignment and offers systematic sequences helping students to advance through the asana. Results include increased strength and flexibility along with improved breathing, circulation, organ and endocrine functions. The nervous system is brought into balance and an overall sense of inner balance and well being is obtained.

POLICIES
Class cards cannot be put on hold retroactively. Class cards can be put on hold for up to two weeks with prior notice. Please keep note of when your class card will expire. You can check the status of your card at anytime by logging into your Mindbody account. Class cards cannot be shared or transferred, however, you can always treat a friend or family member to a class using your class card. Registering for all classes is highly encouraged and rewarded by a random monthly drawing of all preregistered students for a free class!
There are no refunds on workshops within 48 hours. Partial refunds will be granted with notification (by email) with a minimum of 48 hours.

It’s gotta be consensual! Some days we really want a hands-on assist or adjustment from our teachers, and other times that isn’t so. If you wish to practice with verbal guidance only, and not receive hands-on assistance for any reason, please place this chip at the front corner of your mat. For any reason. At any time.
