  • In this class we will slow things down a bit to focus intently on alignment and creating ease of motion in the body. Suitable for all levels, but geared for beginners, this is an opportunity to go within and let go of tension. Through focused self-awareness, hands on adjustments, props, and as always, the support of your breath, you will be guided through a mindful and healing practice.

  • VINYASA

    Level 2

A flowing, dynamic form of yoga that synchronizes breath with asana. Each class focuses on a central theme to build skills with consistent integrity. Expect a strong, focused practice with dynamic, creative sequences.

  • Level 3

This class is vigorously paced and includes jumps, binds, arm balances and inversions. Some prior knowledge of alignment is assumed. This class is appropriate for those who have some experience with yoga or are physically fit and are ready to increase their skill level and challenge themselves physically.

Yoga Nidra, commonly referred to as Yoga sleep brings you into an deep brain-wave sleep, one that can’t be reached by conventional sleep. Eliciting the relaxation response is a skill that we can learn and then practice. The practice of intentional relaxation rewires the nervous system and changes our habitual reactions to life.

Join Dani once a month on a Wednesday evening - moving through 7 Chakras and 5 Elements to gain connection to ourselves and the seasonal changes around us. Each class includes corresponding herbal tea and essential oils, hands on acupressure, and time for your specific questions after class.

  • COMBINATION

    All Levels

In this well-balanced practice, poses will be held a bit longer in an effort to emphasize strength, stability and simply breathing comfortably. We will move dynamically, whether it be through vinyasas or sun salutations or other heat-building sequences, but we will take our time in doing so to establish more of a slower flow and a calmer mind. The focus will be more on the meditative benefits of the practice, as well as moving mindfully in order to avoid injury. Some yoga experience is recommended, yet strong beginners are encouraged.

Julian's classes are not of a specific style, but rather a combination of all of his influences; whether it be ashtanga, iyengar, yin, hatha or gentle. He is trained in both Vipassana and Transcendental meditation.

MOVEMENT CLASSES

  • Barre workouts are held in our 2nd floor studio and classes incorporate exercises done at a ballet barre and a mat; the method combines with elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. Barre exercises rely mainly upon one's bodyweight for resistance, (thought we do use dumbbells and therabands) and the moves challenge your core stability and balance. Barre workouts are designed to help an individual achieve a “dancer’s body” — strong, sleek, and streamlined.

  • Kick your exercise routine up a notch Thursday mornings with Barre HIIT Fusion, a full-body workout which features high-intensity interval exercises, combined with muscle-sculpting barre moves -- making it an ideal program that burns calories and tones your muscles at the same time.

*You don't have to be a ballet dancer to try out this program -- but you may feel like one by the time class is over! Join us on Thursday mornings for a terrific workout!

Equipment needed: light weights, mat, towel, water and a chair/barre/sturdy surface for support.

  • 5Rhythms is an ecstatic dance practice. It is an emotional and spiritual curriculum that systematically leads us to retrieve the instinctive movements of body, heart and mind. Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action.

Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a sacred space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free. Creativity. Connection. Community. Together we peel back layers, lay masks down, and dance till we disappear…Only to rediscover ourselves through it all. This is a drug and alcohol free practice.
