Alpacas have been bred in South America for thousands of years. Their wool was used to make clothes for royalty and was often referred to as "The Fiber of the Gods." Coming from the high plains of Ecuador, these handwoven scarves and blankets are made from a blend of alpac, lambswool and poly cotton. The combination of these materials makes them luxuriously softer, lighter and warmer. Colors of the Andes partners with indigenous families in the Ecuadorian Andes by providing continuous employment and supporting their textile heritage.
