Agni in August: The Fire Element With Amy Pearce-Hayden

  • Ascend Center 75 Main Street Cold Spring, NY, 10516 United States (map)

With Amy Pearce-Hayden, ERYT 500, CRP 3 Hour CEU applicable

Each of us are complete beings made of Mother Nature herself, organized by cosmic intelligence and manifested through the elements which gives rise to our uniqueness.

The classical tantric system holds 7 base elements which outline the eastern concepts of self. These seven energies exist within all of us, but how they are expressed varies. Today’s workshop will explore Agni, the fire element. Will, action, transformation, and integration are some of Agni’s greatest allies. Through the lens of Agni, we will begin to explore and uncover what drives our sense of identity, and moreover its affect on how we act and the impact of action on our life’s experience.

Amy will begin with an overview of the tantric concept of the elements highlighting Agni, followed with prompted journaling. A “Fire” sequenced asana practice follows, geared towards the development of inner listening and embodied movement meditation. Discussion will close our time together.
